Every Lewis Designs project follows a proven four-step process built on transparency, collaboration, and craftsmanship. Here's what to expect from your first conversation to the final install.
In-Home Consultation
Every project begins with a thorough in-home consultation, because exceptional design starts with truly understanding your space. Visiting your home allows us to assess the architecture, natural lighting, existing finishes, and flow of each room, so our recommendations feel intentional and cohesive from the start.
We'll walk through how you use the space, your design vision, and your goals for the project. Whether you're planning a new kitchen, a bathroom renovation, or a full home remodel, we'll guide you through layout options, cabinetry styles, wood species, and finish selections. This initial consultation is complimentary and typically takes one to two hours.
Design Proposal & Pricing
Once we have a clear picture of your space, we develop a full 3D model of your cabinetry so you can see exactly how it will look before we build a single piece. We then return to walk you through the complete design proposal, including clear, detailed pricing and a realistic project timeline.
All Lewis Designs pricing includes design, manufacturing, and professional installation. No hidden fees, no surprises. If revisions are needed, we'll work through them together until the design reflects exactly what you're looking for. Once you're ready to move forward, we finalize all details and prepare for production.
Custom Manufacturing
With your design approved, we begin crafting your cabinetry at our Plain City facility. While production is underway, we'll work with you to finalize any remaining selections, including door profiles, hardware, finish colors, and trim details.
As a fully custom shop, we work in a wide range of materials, styles, and finishes to ensure every piece is built to your exact specifications. Our team guides you through every decision, keeping the process clear and collaborative without ever cutting corners on quality. Every cabinet ships standard with soft-close doors and drawers, dovetail drawer box construction, and your choice of any Benjamin Moore color for finish.
Delivery & Installation
When your cabinetry is complete, we coordinate delivery and installation to align seamlessly with your project schedule, whether we're serving as the general contractor on your full renovation or working alongside your own team. We manage the logistics carefully so everything arrives when your space is prepped and ready.
Installation is handled by our experienced trim carpenters and typically takes about three days. Professional installation is always included in your total project cost. We don't consider a job finished until every detail is right.
